The island of Pag is located in the northern Adriatic Sea in Croatia. It is the fifth largest Croatian island and one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic with its unique moon-like shape. The main town on the island is Pag, while Novalja is a well-known tourist centre located on the west coast of the island. The island’s local salt, sheep cheese and lamb are famous. The island is also known for its characteristic stone beaches, the most famous being Zrće beach.
